Cell and gene therapy has made remarkable progress in recent decades. Thanks to advancements in technology, scientists can now explore new frontiers in studying and treating some of the most challenging afflictions of our time: either by targeting disease-causing mutations in the genome (e.g. in Huntington's disease and cystic fibrosis), or using specially grown cells to regenerate tissues and fight inflammation in cancer, heart disease, even obesity). In this issue, we’ll hear about some of the latest breakthroughs in the field and talk directly to researchers about their work. In a special feature article, we’ll also hear from ACD about their latest products, their outlook on the field and what makes their brand stand out from competitors.
